Repair Right III: Transformer & All American Five Radios

Minnesota, being a right-to-repair state, enables individuals to take charge of fixing their electronics. The Pavek Museum is delighted to offer Repair Right, an electronics repair course designed to empower participants. The course is structured in three phases – I, II, and III – aligning with beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, respectively.

Repair Right III’s focus is on both Transformer and All American Five radios. Participants will have the opportunity to repair their own devices while learning the intricacies of repairing and restoring these historical electronic gems with knowledgeable instructors.

Phase III is the advanced level course. Prior to the course, students are required to have independently repaired their own radios to the point of basic functionality. This includes replacing the power cord, electrolytic capacitors, and other components, employing advanced troubleshooting techniques, and addressing possible uncommon repairs. If a student does not possess these skills, they are required to complete Repair Right I and/or Repair Right II first before enrolling in this course.
