Major Gifts Manager
The Major Gifts Officer at the Pavek Museum of Electronic Communication will play a vital role in developing and executing our major gift program in collaboration with the Advancement Manager. This role involves managing a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, to ensure consistent revenue generation that supports the Museum’s strategic priorities and reinforces its mission, goals, and values.
Internships
Museum Advancement Internship
The Museum Advancement Intern will receive first-hand experience in learning and understanding an Advancement Manager’s core responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to:
• Implementing and managing a comprehensive and strategic approach to institutional advancement and fundraising including individual annual giving, corporate and foundation grant solicitation, planned giving, sponsorships, and events.
• Managing a comprehensive and strategic communication and marketing strategy including monthly newsletters, annual report, social media management, marketing and advertising, and media and public relations.
• Building, fostering, and maintaining member, donor, and sponsor relationships.
Museum Collections Internship
The Museum Collections Intern will receive first-hand experience in learning and understanding a Collections Manager’s core responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to:
• Creating a collection inventory and assigning accession numbers.
• Importing and entering data into a collections management database.
• Assisting with the preparation of objects for storage, display, loan, and research.
• Conservation care and maintenance of the museum collections, including preventative maintenance and hazard awareness.
Museum Education Internship
The Museum Education Intern will receive first-hand experience in learning and understanding an Education Manager’s core responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to:
• Developing, designing, and implementing comprehensive educational initiatives by incorporating interdisciplinary methods to share the story of the Pavek Museum and its mission in an engaging and inspirational way.
• Leading, scheduling, and training volunteers in the delivery of education programs and tours.
