Paul Ramseyer

Early interests in radio and in Christian evangelism and mission brought Paul Ramseyer to international recognition as a leader in religious broadcasting. The son of traveling musicians and evangelists who often appeared on live radio broadcasts, he developed a fascination with radio as a boy. When he came to the Twin Cities in 1953 to attend Northwestern Seminary, he got involved with the college’s radio station, KTIS Saint Paul/Minneapolis, as well, beginning a distinguished career of more than 40 years in broadcasting. Starting as an announcer at KTIS, he was promoted to program director and then to manager, finally becoming Northwestern College vice president of broadcasting and outreach. He also led the development of the Northwestern-based SkyLight Satellite Network, a leading programming source for Christian media outlets, and has served as a director and officer of the National Religious Broadcasters.

Paul Ramseyer passed away peacefully on January 17, 2019.
