This presentation will explore consoles, computers, peripherals, and handheld gaming hardware, tracing 50 years of shared ideas, experimentation, and cross-pollination that ultimately converged in the commercially successful Steam Deck. (Some of Peter’s collection is shown to the side)

Speaker: Peter Lonnquist
Peter Lonnquist is a collector of video game hardware with a focus on the medium’s formative first decade (1972–1982). Outside of collecting, he is a father, data analytics manager, and musician—and a lifelong gamer since early childhood.
