Repair Right II: Transformer & All American Five Radios
Minnesota, being a right-to-repair state, enables individuals to take charge of fixing their electronics. The Pavek Museum is delighted to offer Repair Right, an electronics repair course designed to empower participants. The course is structured in three phases – I, II, and III – aligning with beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, respectively.
Repair Right II’s focus is on both Transformer and All American Five radios. Participants will have the opportunity to repair their own devices while learning the intricacies of repairing and restoring these historical electronic gems with knowledgeable instructors.
Phase II is the intermediate level course. Prior to the course, students are required to test and replace tubes, replace the power cord, and replace the electrolytic capacitors on their radios. Additionally, students should be familiar with testing tubes and assessing their own radios for fixability. If a student does not possess these skills, they are required to complete Repair Right I first before enrolling in this course.
